PÉTITION BERGER BLANC

I see a lot of defensive comments from former Berger Blanc employees. While it is certainly true there are some appalling pet owners, it is very easy to cite examples of the worst case scenarios, it just doesn't justify adjusting animal control services to the same level. If someone surrenders their 5 year old dog in order to buy another then it would be wise to refuse them that adoption, as the new dog will only end up being surrendered down the line. Berger Blanc is merely perpetuating the culture by enabling it. Their role should include showing by example the right way to treat animals. But of course they have no interest in bettering the situation, only in making money. There are plenty of responsible pet owners in Montreal, but they don't receive proper services, and now they are demanding to be heard. It's most important that these pets don't needlessly suffer because of something that isn't their fault, and I don't see any effort to save these innocent souls, otherwise there would be a willingness to work with rescues.
