PÉTITION - Non à l'augmentation des parcomètres sur le Plateau

I'm outraged that the Saint-laurent merchants are trying to have the Plateau clogged with traffic just so they can make a few more bucks. I'm going to make a point of boycotting anyone visibly against Mayor Ferandez's plan to make the borough more pleasant for pedestrians and residents; half of residents don't even own cars.

There is a major metro line that transcends the area, making it accessible from throughout the city. Furthermore, the lower Plateau is within walking distance of downtown. Cars pollute the air, take up massive amounts of space and are inefficient in densely populated areas such as this. Why should some people be allowed to monopolise public space with poison-releasing metal isolation chambers?

Getting into politics is bad for business. I hope all the merchants that are trying to worsen their neighbourhood to improve their bottom line end up going bankrupt.
